In 1578 Altan Khan, a Mongol Lord and leader with ambitions to unite the Mongols and to emulate the career of Chinggis, invited the top of the rising Yellow Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Tibetan titled monasteries were designed across Mongolia, usually sited at the juncture of trade and migration routes or at summer pastures. within the pre-revolutionary amount, Mongolia was dominated by a series of Living Buddhas referred to as Javzandamba. within the Nineteen Thirties, this intellectual power became the main focus of a unpitying series of purges. Today, Mongolia is yet again grip its Buddhist heritage. Monasteries are being remodeled and are yet again jam-pawncked with worshippers.
